First The Tipple, Then The Topple

Forklift Driver (Really) Hits The Wall

Everyone knows what it feels like to hit the wall at work - metaphorically speaking. But not everyone does it literally. Police in the UK received a late-night callout to a factory near Thamesville this week after a man believed to be drunk crashed into a cement wall. Officers said the man, 46, was driving a forklift when he had the collision. He was arrested because he appeared to be drunk. He was later charged with impaired driving.

  1. Hi David,
    Great story about the forklift.
I drove one a few years ago
at a warehouse job and they can
be a serious hazard in the wrong
    hands.
May I ask for an email address
    to contact you regarding some
    blog issues & advice?
You can email me via my site
    if you wish.
    Cheers,
    Doug

  4. Fork-lifts are seriously scarey. One of my agencies specialised in supplying temp warehouse staff to companies, and I was a frequent visitor to many a factory/warehouse floor. I can feel another blogpost coming on!

  5. I am a MAJOR fan of the television show The Office and this blog is reminding me of last week's episode on "Safety Training". I am laughing again just thinking about it. And if you don't watch that show - well that is one half hour of television you may want to consider making time for.

  6. Hi Deborah,

Yep, `The Office' has cult status here in Australia!

I think everyone relates to it.
