Home, Home On The Orange

(Where The Beer And The Canteloupe Roam)

Photograph copyright: DAVID McMAHON

Okay, so I couldn't resist mis-quoting the lyrics of the old classic, `Home, home on the range' - but it's just a bit of fun before we kick up our heels for the long Easter weekend. And, in true Australian tradition, I guess there'll be a lot of beer and barbecues over the next four days. Let me make a confession here - I'm big on barbecues but I probably drink three or four cans of beer each year. And the weather's been great, much cooler now. We even got some rain today and the forecast is for some showers over the weekend.

  2. I echo the sentiments on the picture.

Have a great weekend, I'm waiting for the weather to warm up just a tad more here in the States for baseball games and barbecues.

  7. Hi FJ,

Thank you for the comment. I'll certainly have a great weekend - we're in Sydney at the moment.

Sounds like the weather in your part of the world is finally starting to swing into warmer mode.

Here Down Under,it's finally starting to rain and get a bit cooler.

Hope you have a great Easter.

  10. Hi Siddharth,

Thanks for that. The good thing about hot weather is that you can drink lots of beer - and it doesn't make any difference.

And there's nothing like a barbecue on a hot day, believe me!

Love to Reem and I hope all the plans are going well.

    Take care

  13. This is a gorgeous shot. I can't believe the colors of the sky. You're very lucky to be living in a place with such beautiful views. I can completely imagine drinking beer and watching this sunset(?) with friends. Very peaceful.

  15. G'day Buscador,

Yes, you're right. There's something to photograph every single day.

And there's something very calming about seeing that sort of sight.

    Cheers
