Gee, Your Address Is Kind Of Familiar
Fancy bumping into you here, dear! A Bosnian couple are getting divorced after finding out they had been chatting each other up online under fake names. Sana Klaric, 27, and husband Adnan, 32, from Zenica, poured out their hearts to each other over their marriage troubles, and both felt they had found their real soulmate. The couple met on an online chat forum while he was at work and she in an internet cafe, and started chatting under the names Sweetie and Prince of Joy. They eventually decided to meet up – with disastrous results.
I like this story but at the same time it feels sad that they could talk to each other so freely online and not in real life. It showed that there was still some spark between them, imagine finding 'the perfect person' online only to discover you are married to them!

ReplyDeleteThe saddest part is tha they're walking away after the gift of what they discovered: that they really do share a deep connection. That should have been worth fighting for.
ReplyDeleteI have never been divorced, but I am stunned by how much anguish I feel over the broken marriages of friends and family. It's hard not to take it personally.

A one in a million that they found each other. How sad they couldn't have sorted it out before. However it could be a new type of marriage therapy, and I am not joking, rather than face the other person with your concerns write them. They may be received rather than retaliated against.

hehe...i think the key to their happiness and sadness lay in them only..if only they would have cared to pour out their troubles to one another ....and not to some unknown chat name on the net.....
ReplyDeleteso sad how quickly people decide to divorce. marriage is worth fighting for--even more so when they found that they were "soul mates" via the internet. sadly people would rather believe that their own marriage is a tragic mistake and that someone else out there is a better match. more often, we just need to work on being a better spouse ourselves and the marriage improves.
