Here Comes The Bright

That's Not Defective, Detective

Photographs copyright: DAVID McMAHON

Take a good look at these images. Any idea what I've photographed? It's not a bumble bee. It's not a flying purple people eater. It's not electric cables. Put on your Sherlock Holmes hat and leave me a comment with your theory/ theories ....

  1. Lovely colourful pictures.

Is it a landing pad for bungee jumpers?

David, I'm travelling again and that means a life minus internet till I return. I wish you and your family a great holiday season in advance. Cheers. :)

  2. I think it's those kind of bouncy, spongy, jumping shoes. Kind of like those stilt things with ropes that you hold on to in order to keep your balance.

  6. At the bottom right hand side of the second picture it looks like it might be some sort of grip/handle, like you'd have on a bicycle handle (only multi coloured) but I'm guessing I'm wrong. It has bungee jump written on it but it doesn't look like anything from a real bungee jump. It must be a kids toy of some description but I'm at a bit of a loss as to what. I can't wait for all to be revealed. I think I'm rambling on a bit. It might have been easier just to say I haven't got a clue lol.

  7. I've been having more of a think about this. Is it something a child would stand on and start bouncing about?

  8. i think they're shoes, too. a funky colored flip-flop (that's what i'd call them in wyoming). they call them "shower slippers" here in wales.

  12. Discovered! It is a child's bungee jumping toy similar to a pogo stick but using a bungee cord and foam pads instead. I found a full picture on Amazon. To see the whole thing go here.

    JOY!

  16. I side with Sharon - "Bungee Shoes" or some such. What'd we win? Can I have the shoes? They would be cool, and I probably have an outfit to match.
