Photograph copyright: DAVID McMAHONSometimes the most unusual sights are really the most common, everyday sights. It's only when you look at them from a unique angle or in a rare light that they seem so very different. These were just postcards on a rack, taken during my time in Singapore's captivating Chinatown. The photo below shows the rack with the postcards in full view, but the first shot makes you think, doesn't it?

I like people seeing things differenlty. Wish more would!
ReplyDeleteHappy new year!

ReplyDeleteThank you. And a very very happy new year to you and C.
Cheers

You should have brought the card holder back for me, haha.
ReplyDeleteI was close - thought it was a nearly empty magazine rack. How neat to take an ordinary item and make a great post from it.
ReplyDeleteHi Stewart,
ReplyDeleteI did!!
It was difficult getting it into my suitcase, though!
Cheers
David

Good detective work ...

David
This looks amazing! The depth of field is just right. I guess you must have used f3 or less?
ReplyDeleteThe bird's eye view, or the worm's eye view--both offer a unique perspective that the human eye will tend to miss.
ReplyDeleteGreat work!
The two perspectives--fun!
ReplyDeleteGreat images, David.
I tried to guess what it is, but failed miserably. Thanks for the enlightenment.
