Please answer today's question on your own blog, any time until next weekend. Just link to this blog (or to this post) so I can follow the progress of the discussion.
The question is: How efficiently (or inefficiently) would your household function without batteries?

I've got my answer up now. Thanks for the question - I was really surprised when I researched this topic by how much it would cost to revert to film photography!
ReplyDeleteDavid - my response is up and it was perhaps an alternative response, but something I've been meaning to write about for a long time. Thanks for giving me the impetus to do it!
ReplyDeleteLife wouldnt be worth living if you had to get up to change the channel...
ReplyDeleteMine is up David. And Akela's comment made me giggle. :D
ReplyDeleteIt's UP!
ReplyDeleteAlthough it IS kind of a "passive" battery-post!
(Oh Lordy---I just made a "spur-of-the-moment" funny! A "battery-post"! Oh, I just KILL me, sometimes...!)
well the smoke alarm would stop working and the house would burn down without us even realising a picture could be taken and that is a really basic need..........other than that we would have to get out of the chair to turn the telly over which would benefit our sedentary lifestyle and how on earth would we keep in touch without the blessed mobile phone!!!

I don't care about the alarm clock--I wake up without it most of the time anyway.
ReplyDeleteI don't care about the flashlight (torch)--as there are always candles.
I don't care about my husband's hearing aid--he doesn't listen anyway.
But my cameras...!
