Or Is This Zoe From Sesame Street?
Photographs copyright: DAVID McMAHONWhen you're confronted by a sight like this, you have to wonder where on earth you are. Was I on the set of Sesame Street, or was this a close encounter with an orange Abominable Snowman?
Because I always have my camera with me, I was able to pepare this crucial dossier of visual clues as to the true identity of the Muppet (or Yeti) that was blocking my path. Were things about to turn nasty?
Then I started to relax. It was indeed a close encounter of the furry kind, but I was in no danger at all. Are you a budding Sherlock Holmes? Can you perhaps see a clue in these photographs?
Okay, we can all start breathing easy again. Here are the facts. I was in no danger at all. You see, I was walking down a pathway yesterday when I noticed a large metal trolley laden with cleaning equipment. The furry orange object could not possibly do me any harm - it was just a large floor mop. But it gave me the perfect opportunity for an irreverent series of photographs!
Oh, there we go, my favorite floor cleaner's on orange alert way down in Melbourne! Rascal.

ReplyDeleteA picture is where you find it and you have found a bunch of good ones. I wandered about your blog a bit and I love the sky shots, especially the purple sky. I also like the scenes and stories about the land down under.

ReplyDeleteAh, you've been conned. That is no floormop - and you have had a narrow escape. I have just had word from my intergalactic pal, Atyllah the Hen. What you encountered there was the Lesser Fuzzy Furbalistic - a sneaky, spying and occasionally human-nibbling creature from the outer edges of the galaxy. Take very good care of yourself - you may be a marked man!

ReplyDeleteWhile I have never seen a dustmop quite this color, I actually guessed this one from the first photo. You usually have me totally baffled until the revelation at the end, but I am relieved to know there is still some "Sherlock" left in my brain! :-)

ReplyDeleteI took photos of some bulk Fruit Loops cereal I had poured into a glass canister which had pictures of dairy cows on it. My husband saw the photos and said "Why the heck did you take this?" I said "It was different - all different colors in the glass canister - and pictures of dairy cows on the canister, the contents of which would in fact be put in milk"... I told him there was a method to my madness. I think he believes I may be 'mad', but I don't think he believes there's a method to it hehehe
