They're Going Neck And Neck

How Do You Measure A Giraffe For A Coat?

Staff at the Oakland Zoo in California are having a custom-fit coat made to keep the giraffe cosy this winter. At age 18, venerable for giraffes, Tiki already gets regular visits from a chiropractor, a masseuse and an acupuncturist. But at 13 feet tall, she is too big to be herded into a stall, and regular horse blankets are too ill-fitting to be left on her. So a horse-blanket designer has agreed to donate her services to tailor a coat for Tiki. To get precise measurements for the tailoring, zoo keeper Melissa McCartney had to scramble up a ladder. The result? A 40 extra, extra long.

Being a massage therapist myself, I wonder how much Oakland Zoo pays-
'cause that would be a whole lot a massage!
