Let’s Just Splash Out On A New Car
It’s the glub-glub-glub club. An 11-year-old girl is in hot water after she sent her grandmother's car plunging into a swimming pool at Kingston Village apartments in southwest Shreveport. The accident apparently happened as the girl was trying to turn on the car's CD player. She accidentally put the car into drive and it hit some steps. She then put it in reverse, sending it across the parking lot, through a fence and into the pool.
FOOTNOTE: Car pooling.
Car pooling....cute! You know, there's really no need to make fictional movies. Life itself is much more interesting!

Thanks for letting me know about the error I typed. I am so embarrassed about that!
ReplyDeleteShe had the presence of mind to put it in reverse... I wonder what my 11 year old would have done?
ReplyDeleteI am all for making it illegal to drive a CD player without a license. ;-)
ReplyDeleteAh, that poor kid needed a brake.
ReplyDeleteI was wondering if the DVD was perhaps, Carwash. OC suggests, since she's 11, it may have been, Under The Sea.

ReplyDeleteBrilliant footnote, but what a terrifying thing to go through, and fancy having to explain that one to an angry granny!
ReplyDeleteThat could happen to anyone. Vegemite vindaloo sounds salty.
ReplyDeleteHa! Yo've just reminded me of a post I need to write..
ReplyDeleteUh-oh, that's one mistake that's likely to keep her grounded for at least six months! Poor kid.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed the pun, David!
I love how you redefined the word "carpooling." Very clever!

um.....as a parent who hears the phrase "it just happened" a lot, i am questioning the direct linkage of the cd player in the incident. i was not born yesterday. day before, perhaps, but not yesterday.
ReplyDeleteoh wait, if i don't believe her, than my mom can't believe *me* that it was the tape deck operation that caused her car to smack into our closed garage. having said that, she's too old to punish me, so i stand my ground.
LOL. that's awesome!!
