Weekend Wandering

Please answer today's question on your own blog, any time until next weekend. Just link to this blog (or to this post) so I can follow the progress of the discussion.

The question is: What's the most important thing you've ever lost?

This is a great question David. I am still mortified about a particular VERY sentimental item which I lost and I will write about it in the next few days.

    Many thanks, Crystal xx

  5. I am not sure when or if I will be able to post this. It is not something I like to talk about a while lot. But the most important thing I ever lost was custody of my oldest son.

  6. When I saw this one I thought "Phew!" That's a bit lighter. Unless I count my pride but that can be funny too.

    Then I read Magdalene's, then i beati, then nicole's....

Puts possessions in perspective doesn't it?

And Shrinky got there before me with "pride" (but I don't know if it is the MOST IMPORTANT thing I have ever lost!)

  10. I've had a number of family losses that have made me realize the losses of material goods are fairly trivial.

    I hope that makes sense!

  14. My maiden name....
I like being Mrs nesbitt cos I love my husband. My maiden name was the name of the "male parent" who slapped mum and I, went bankrupt, as a result of which the bayliffs came and stripped the house, taking my new doll's pushchair ( I was 3 at the time) many years later he visited mum & I, he couldn't remember my name, he called me Diane.

  15. Well i saw this on Imac's post and sort of wondered what it was about, so when you commented on my blog i thought i would jump over and check yours out since i havn't been here for awhile.
What a wonderful question you pose there. With many different answers so far.
Mine would be the daughter i had for a short time and never would get to know, the grandchildren i would never get to know. The not knowing what it would be to have a daughter.

  16. Ooh, I want in. I'm posting the first thought that came to my mind-- but it will have to wait until tomorrow. You know, just the comments you've already received on this one would make a bitter-sweet post.
