Some Austrian cities figure it out for you: In goes the coin, out comes a receipt with the time you'll have to leave the parking space. You'll have to stick this receipt behind the window shield so your meter maid will know too. ;-)
Now that's truly international rhyming. Tally is UK, inches is US, theta is Greek, and I guess the parking meter is a world wide phenomena.
