Two giraffes were racing side-by-side,
ReplyDeleteNeck-to-neck and stride-to-stride,
Which one will the winner be?

ReplyDeleteI can't do better than Quilly.
ReplyDeleteBut I do hope there are some longneck bottles of beer at the finish line.
Now that is truly impressive David!
ReplyDeleteTwo giraffes raced in Rome.
ReplyDeleteA rhino watched the clock.
The ending though was 'hippodrome'
Which hacked the rhino off.
Giraffes can race
ReplyDeleteAt terrific pace
I've seen them on the tele.
They can run so fast
But it cannot last
Or their legs would turn to jelly!

ReplyDeleteI wish giraffes were short and plump
Lazy sods, inclined to
slump
Loud and clear, I must cry it:

diet!”

If giraffes did race
ReplyDeleteAt a galloping pace
It would end up in a sprawl!
As their gangly legs would entangle
Definitely causing them to fall!
I like that one David! :)
ReplyDeletethat reminds me of one of my daughters favorite books "Giraffes Can't Dance" by Giles Andreae and Guy Parker-Rees.
