I need to find a dictionary on UK slang and expressions. I've heard recently that the word most Americans are familiar with from British pejoratives shouldn't be used in polite society. The rest of them I'm pretty clueless about. So what does "Cor blimey" mean?
Cor Blimey is just Cockney slang! You can say it if your have a prang Or if you have a real surprise Or if you see some one in disguise. It is a mild thing to say! And I wouldn't have it any other way! Not sure who this bloke called Vimey Is! Or if it was just to rhyme with Cor Blimey!
The real definition is a Cockney version of "Blind me!" A thing to say if you're surprised. You could just as well say " Well! Blow me down!"
