Photograph copyright: DAVID McMAHONThe beach views here at the Langkawi Sheraton are inspirational, but I thought I'd do this shot a bit differently froma stock-standard beach photograph. The rare sight of a dead, skeletal branch among the verdant green was perfect to frame the brown rock and the choppy sea.
And you did notice the sailboat on the horizon, didn't you? It's the little white triangle located right in the crook of the branch.
That's wonderful, David. I like the way you integrated the dead branch with the sea vista and caught yourself a sailboat!

ReplyDeleteNicely arranged. I find I get a little tired of the typical beach shot. Are you familiar with the Muskoka beach shot? The 2 Muskoka chairs on the beach...oh, it's pleasant but geesh...
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely noticed the sail boat. Mom & Dad used to have one so they have a special interest for me. Did you get any close ups of it? Good job with the image. And yes, I liked the way the dead branch framed things and added interest.

I wish I was there. I noticed the sailboat but that rock to sit on appeals the most.
