Verse And Worse

Random Wit, Errant Rhyme. Not A Literary Crime

If you're yawning in the morning
But you're still wide awake all night
Either your clock needs pawning
Or you got off a transatlantic flight

When my night turns to day
And my day turns to night,
    I sunbathe 'neath the moon
    And sleep through the light.
    I have breakfast for dinner,
    And dinner at sunrise,
What my friends think of this
    I can only surmise,
But they've taken to wearing crosses,
    And eating garlic on cake!
And yesterday I saw them with
    A great wooden stake ....

  2. Or you're up all night hogging
    The computer for your blogging.

    (I can't believe I just did that.)

  3. I'm more of a "blogging hogging" type than a pawning clock sort.

I'd rather be a transatlantic flight sort, though. ~sigh~

  4. I get to bed too late
    And get up too early
    I would be aggravated
But I'm too tired to be surly

I really don't want to start complaining,
But how do we lose this plight. When you relly need to be sleeping,
You know you'll end up in a fight.
