Verse And Worse

Random Wit, Errant Rhyme. Not A Literary Crime

Do you ever go shopping without a list?
Do you ever get home and see what you've missed?
How do you cope without that cereal?
Or the ice cream you think is really ethereal?

  1. I never go shopping without a list
Alas it's other things I've usually missed.

    Like trousers and pants,
    like shirt and coat.

    I don't get embarrassed,
    I just like to gloat

    My thought is just that
if you looked like I do,

    then you'd ditch your clothes
    and shop naked too.

You'd see dicks by the fruit stand,
    bottoms in the dairy

    Some would be banned
    for being too hairy.

There'd by fannys by the ice cream,
    tits by the honey,

    It's all very well,
but where do you keep your money?

  2. I do shop without a list,
    but please do not despair,

    I may forget the shampoo
    mousse and gel,
    for dinner buy donuts,
    crisps-- whatever is on sale,

    but with a happy tummy,
    who's thinking about my hair?

  3. It is not only the things missed, but the things you get that you didn't intend to.

We go for three items without a list. Four must be written down.

  4. If it's milk or bread
That will stay in my head
But I might need some flour
    Or soap for the shower
Do I have to get oil
    Maybe aluminum foil
    You now get my gist
    I do need a list

  5. Absolutely,
    I do indeed!
    This is me,
    to a tee!

I make a list through out the week,
To take when I shop for the things I seek.
List in my purse, I walk out the door,
Yet the list never makes it to the store.
Somewhere twixt house and market it disappears,
And I end my shopping trip in tears.

  7. Oh SO true! Missing half the things I need and brought home twice as much of the things I don't!
