Verse And Worse

Random Wit, Errant Rhyme. Not A Literary Crime

My next-door neighbour Grandpa Smith
Was proud of his sun hat made of pith
In stormy weather, it wasn’t waterproof
Come to think of it, neither was his roof

  2. I was going to sat that in stormy weather that hat would presumably be running all over his face - then I realised I was thinking of peat!!

  3. Just popping in to see what the clever man has been up to. Great titles to these posts, excellent photos, rhyming jokester. All in a days' work, eh?

  4. The roof would let the rain right in,
    luckily Grandpa had thick skin.
He'd get cold and wet all the way through.
But he didn't mind 'cos his beer was too.

  5. Brilliant! As a huge fan of Ogden Nash, I just love nonsense verse. I do hope Grandpa Smith didn't get to soaked when the waters broked.
