This Brick Home Could Be Yours For Free
Want a house for free? You just have to pay to haul it away. Jacquie Jones of Kaysville, Utah, is offering a three-bedroom brick bungalow built in 1910 that was featured in one of the "Benji" movies and an episode of "Touched By An Angel". She would rather give it away than see it bulldozed.

ReplyDeleteYou know they do this quite a bit here...two story houses, small houses, brick or wood...I'm always amazed when we see these huge trucks complete with house rolling down the highway...now that's what I call a mobile home!

ReplyDeleteI've seen houses on flatbed trucks being moved to a different location. But I didn't know you could do it for a brick home. All the ones I've seen were wood. Good for her!

When my grandmother passed on, the people who purchased her 40s era home did just that. They moved it to a new location. It was situated near a busy intersection and I guess they wanted more charming surroundings for a charming house. Can't say that I blame them. But they had to leave the big pecan trees behind.
