Random Wit, Errant Rhyme. Not A Literary Crime

When Simple Simon met a pieman
Who coached him in the art of rhymin'
He conquered metre, he vanquished rhythm
And always kept the talent with 'im

  2. Wit in it's purest (and most rhythmic) form!

Yes, it's been unusually warm here in Idaho. And of course Hugh told me all about your backward seasons! I got to experience it for myself when I was with him on holiday in Sydney. That was a glorious week! ;)

We had snow 10 days before our official first day of summer this year. I posted about it. Weird.

When Simple Simon learned to dance
He shimmied all the way to France
They asked for pies, he raised his eyes
And said quelle horreur, pas de chance.

See what you are doing to me?

I'm disappointed...I was going to ask you to make mine blueberry...

  6. Who needs meter
    When you have a pie?
    Who needs rhythm
    When you have a pie?
Simple Simon is happy with pie--
'Tis music to his belly and eye.

  7. When Simple Simon met the pieman
I had to make a sigh
While reading poems makes me smile
    I'd rather eat some pie

Too bad you didn't meet that pieman,
You need help with your rhymin'.

Apple Pie and ice cream at my house today after a roast chicken feat with all our (nearby) friends invited. If you happen to be in the neighborhood, drop in. I'm roasting two birds.
