Whose Diamond Is It? Mine?

We’ll Drink To That

Way to go, Mexico! Scientists say they have discovered a method of producing synthetic diamonds using tequila - Mexico's favourite alcoholic drink. Physicists from the National Autonomous University of Mexico, say there is just one catch - the synthetic diamond crystals are too small to be used in jewellery.

  2. Interesting way to produce diamonds.
Of course the inquisitive mind begs to know how they came about to use tequila...

Or a more sober note: Normally, artificially created crystals (such as rubies for clocks) aren't pretty like the natural ones.
