Verse And Worse

Random Wit, Errant Rhyme. Not A Literary Crime

While shepherds washed their socks by night
A heavenly message gave them a fright
They were urged by St Peter and even St Michael
To toss out their suds in order to recycle

  3. Most laundry detergents aren't biodegradeable.
Saints Peter and Michael would never have been able
To give our world such a terrible plight
Twas a bolt of lightning gave the shepherds their fright.

    Fun poem tonight, David!

  4. While shepherds washed their socks by night
The hot water shrank them... they became too tight.
They managed without them as long as they could
But they felt the cold and got covered in mud!

No, that one is a corker. I will not embarrass myself by even trying.

  6. While the shepherds washed their socks
    They talked amongst themselves awhile
They wondered what would wash the best
    Cotton, nylon, or argyle?

  7. David: That one was enlightening.

The shepherds saw that bright light
that gave them such an awful fright
they said we must go to Davids site
so no-one will have foot blight.
