Yes, Of Course It’s A Life-Threatening Situation
A woman in Manchester dialled 999 because she was furious she could not get through to vote on the TV show Strictly Come Dancing. Others in a string of ridiculous emergency calls included a priest complaining he was not allowed to use a toilet in a W. H. Smith store and a man who said shop staff had put unwanted mushrooms on his pizza.

ReplyDeleteThe stupidity of some people never ceases to amaze me! :0
ReplyDeleteWow! Those people need to see some real emergency casualties and understand how much they are preventing other important calls getting through!
ReplyDeleteI say give people who make silly calls like this a very large fine... only this way will they stop being bloody idiots!
I'd make a lousy emergency telephone operator, I don't know how these guys manage to remain straight-faced and polite with these idiotic calls.
ReplyDeleteah yes...and there's the "what time is it?" call, to which I trained my officers to answer "time to get a new clock."
