Fur Cryin’ Out Loud

What Kind Of Varmint Is That?

Photographs copyright: DAVID McMAHON

Can you identify this common furry object? It lives in every home. It has a long and distinguished history of service to mankind.

These views (above and below) encompass not one, but two of the same breed, albeit with a difference in colour.

I'm sorry if you thought I was trying to mislead you. Just blame it on a dry sense of humour.

And remember – never throw in the towel.

Visit TNChick's Photo Hunt. Today's theme: "Furry".

  1. Recognized the towel straight away, David!
Knew it wasn't one of the furry beasts that plague me! LOL!
I feel like throwing in the trowel...... but that's another story!

  7. Love those bath towels!
One of life's little pleasures - changing the colors and feeling them drink up all the moisture.
Thank you for enjoying "Seen in Soho".

We are flying to Dehli and going through Rajehstan.
    I'm really excited.

I love towels. I especially love towels warm from the drier. I love the way they smell and the way they feel. I recognized this creature right off as a prime specimen of healthy towel.

  23. First I thought it was another cropping photo. Then I found the colors so matching that I was thinking of art.
Then I saw the last one.

Too funny. I thought the first photo was an image of an incredibly bad faux fur.

  25. Couldn't recognise it until I saw the bales. Very clever. I thought they were maybe fleecy blankets. Love the puns - groaning all the way.

I didn't guess a towel - I thought it was one of those soft fuzzy throws.

  41. First thought they were morningcloaks (or whatever you call them in English) then I realised they were towels!

BTW I wish we had some of your heat on this side of the globe! It's freezing cold here right now. Brrrrr

  42. Ah...very clever, David. I like the way YOU use a camera, too! Thanks so much for the visit and kind words. I hope you will visit Pollywog Creek again. Blessings!

  43. You got me! I thought it was moss and the insects were inside of it. That was fun. I would not do well photographing our towels since they are red and that color creates problems for me when photographing.
