Note Worthy
Burglars who stole half-eaten cans of food from a house in Norwich, England returned their haul the next afternoon - with a note saying sorry. The thieves even took DVDs and a sat-nav. Less than 24 hours later, they were returned with a letter saying: "Sorry for taking this stuff - very, very drunk and stupid."
FOOTNOTE: Many scrappy returns.
Only in England!
ReplyDeleteGreat idea??? ha Wonderful telling. Enjoyed it immensely. Would they do that in Puerto Rico? I don't know...a horrible incident of a rape and murder was in the news...the criminal asked forgiveness because he discovered that the American jogger he attacked was 6 months pregnant. Distressing story that was covered the US news...and maybe around the world...why did that make such a difference? Her life would have been disposible if she weren't? Your happy ending is much better...
ReplyDeleteand I know the stories are not at all the same. It just got me to thinking about criminal behavior and asking for forgiveness. Hello from Puerto Rico! <3
Hehehe! They ar so frendly up thare in Norwich! Lots ov Bears thare, yu kno.
ReplyDeleteAwww I like that one! Would be burglars with a conscience (when sobered up...)
ReplyDeleteOnly in England as Susana said. ;0)
Apparently this happens more often than I knew. A very dear friend had two drunkards kick her door down in the middle of the night, for no apparent reason other than they were drunk and acting stupid.
ReplyDeleteAll's well that ends well I suppose! lol I wonder if the victim will still want them charged!
ReplyDeleteLaughing really really hard over here in SoCal!
ReplyDeleteRobbers with a conscience. That's a concept.
ReplyDeleteWish more burglars would do that!
ReplyDeleteQuite lucky they remembered where they'd got the stuff really!
ReplyDeleteOMG ... that is too funny. Nice apology too. People can be so strange. I love it!
ReplyDeleteThe sorry note- totally something I would have done.
ReplyDeleteThanks for helping me to see that there are others like me out there. Good content choice =)
When the drink is in, the wit is out - good to know they came to their senses when sober, eh? Smile.
