Sometimes you see tropical blooms that make you look twice because the colours are so vivid. It’s aways handy if you have your camera within arm’s reach, just to capture the scene before the blooms are whisked away.
Then you take a closer look and you realise that they’re not real flowers at all. Someone’s just about to use them for a Hawaiian-themed party. Realisation dawns slowly.
You think they must be expensive, for sure. Then your eye travels up (and so does the lens of your camera) and you realise that beauty sometimes does come at a bargain-basement price.

Just shows anything can become priceless, if you look at it in the right way... That first photo is a work of art and no mistake.

ReplyDeleteFunny thing is, these will probably hold up for years (depending on what they're made of) while the real deal will wither away in a matter of days and cost several times as much.

Well, you made it really clear (once again) that to make a beautiful photo you need a GOOD EYE and not a good camera (although that might help). Nice one.

They are a bit gaudy but I think that we all need a bit of cheering up at the moment. I do not think that being cheap matters.

All these colours are like balsam for my eyes, seeing as the weather here has turned wintry again, snow and sleet and more grey. I'd like to call out like Goethe, "More light," please!
Feasting my eyes on those lush colors is a real treat to me. I am looking out the window at a day that is rather gray in these parts.
