No Laughing Matter

Please Don’t Use The Punch Line, Officer

A Liverpool motorist was stopped by a police officer and questioned - for laughing behind the wheel of his car. The man was using a hands-free phone when he laughed at a joke told by his brother-in-law. The officer who stopped him said: "Laughing while driving a car can be an offence."

  2. There are many people who sadly wish to make laughing illegal.

  5. This puts a dent in my life's philosophy that "laughs are free." I have always said that it is the only thing not taxed or fined. There I go thinking again,.

  6. Wonder how much trouble a person would be with the coppers if they were laughing heartily without a hands free device and the radio off? What would happen to me if I busted out laughing even harder when pulled over for laughing?

  10. Yes but only if you're laughing so hard that your eyes are closed! Is sneezing an offence?
