Verse And Worse

Random Wit, Errant Rhyme. Not A Literary Crime

Would you like to write couplets or just a rhyming stanza?
Would you care to shadow-box with actor Tony Danza?
Did you ever go through deep feelings of loss
When they axed his sitcom, called Who’s The Boss?

  1. There's my daily dose of absolute fun..! (Mum and I enjoy it so much.) So many times one doesn't even feel competent enough to leave a comment here.

Thanks so much for giving my blog a visit...
Oh sir, I do hope we meet some day and talk about all that you've seen of India :)
    Cheers

  4. Never worried about Tony, though he seems a good guy.
I wouldn't dare box because I'm ever so shy.
Never had those feelings of loss
About that show called Who's the boss.

There isn't a TV I'd call my own.
I spend my free time on blogging alone.
A universe of real people and their words sublime
Means more to me than the stuff of prime time.

  6. Never heard of Tony Danza! Never heard of 'Boss'!
But if I hadn't read your verse that WOULD have been a loss!

  7. I've spent this past week writing the first draft of a Shakespearean sonnet that ends with a couplet.

    LOL! I loved this verse.

    the last time I shadow-boxed,
    i left my blogger-friend out-foxed.
then i was forced to sit alone
while less than i carried on.

thanks for the invite. i hope this goes over well. i'm no ali, but it's been said that i float like a butterfly and sting like a bee.

  13. He was a fun personality...a little like the old character actors...bigger-than-life...No, I would not care to box with him as he truly boxed at one time...Saw him interviewed on a cable News program recently...interesting fellow. This verse is very fun!
