May The Fourth Be With Them
A couple from the Isle of Wight who are obsessed by Star Wars themed their wedding on the films with the groom playing Han Solo and the bride Princess Leia. They were surrounded by friends and family all dressed as characters from the sci-fi movies. They even invited director George Lucas, who wrote back saying he couldn't make it.
FOOTNOTE: On a role.
I can't believe George wouldn't attend.
ReplyDeleteIt takes all kinds!
ReplyDeleteIsle of Wight. I see it puts on musical festivals/all kinds of music playing day and night. Is there anything else memorable there besides costumed characters, pretending they are somewhere else?
ReplyDeletetil Darth do them part...
ReplyDelete=)
As much of a control freak as George Lucas is I am surprised he didn't officiate the wedding.
ReplyDeleteBe afraid. Be very afraid.
ReplyDeleteDid he at least send a gift? Perhaps a signed copy of a DVD? No? Well that leaves the newlyweds Jabba the Hut-less
ReplyDeleteSounds like good fun to me. I wish them luck and happiness.
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't mind going. I just wouldn't want to be the Wookie.
ReplyDeleteI would like to know if they were even BORN when the movie came out.
ReplyDeleteOh, this is all the rage in the U.S. Have heard of this kind of thing on many occasions...very funny!!! Lucas must receive many invitations! LOL.
ReplyDeleteNerds! Nerds!
ReplyDelete(Now, if it had been a Dr. Who wedding ... attractive male scarves and such)
I always say, everyone should do what THEY want for their wedding!
ReplyDeleteI wonder when they came down to Earth!
