Who Took Sicily Off The Face Of The Earth?
Italian airline Alitalia has apologised after its in-flight magazine printed a map leaving off the Mediterranean island of Sicily. The magazine's editor blamed the error on a printing mistake - after a passenger told the Italian newspaper Corriere della Sera that she noticed Sicily was missing - while she was on a flight to the island.

ReplyDeleteOuch, big error. Now, the Mafia brothers have to teach someone a lesson in geography.
ReplyDeleteI would not want to anger the Sicilians....
ReplyDeleteHow can one leave off the island from a map reprinted in a magazine...I wonder if someone was playing a little joke....
Think of all the good food we'd miss!
ReplyDelete(Sorry... you say Italian and I think food. Sicilian food is devilishly good.)
Or maybe they flew into an alternate universe.
ReplyDeleteomg my ancesters where ate the Gentileias and Kezzelas??woe is me ..
ReplyDeleteI see cement shoes for someone
ReplyDeletethats got to give you warm feelings about where you are headed...lol
ReplyDeleteThey say the editor of the magazine sleeps with the fish...
ReplyDeleteAlitalia is going through such hell right now, it doesn't surprise me, actually.
This sounds like a joke, or perhaps a transversal message, because if you look at a map of Italy, it's hard to eliminate Sicily...
Ciao from the Boot.
