Verse And Worse

Random Wit, Errant Rhyme. Not A Literary Crime

In the Sydney suburb of Pymble
They’ve never seen a thimble
The local seamstress is so skilled
That all the housewives are just thrilled

  2. I agree with Sniffles and Smiles... I don't sew, I duct tape!

  3. When I was a child everyone could sew
I learned from my Mum who did know
That a good woman could make a rag
Into a little dress or a even a bag!
I am grateful for this learning
And look back with some yearning
To an era that has faded
    And left me feeling jaded.

  6. This seamstress was quite nimble.
She met a bartender named Kimbal.
    As a legend, he'd become a symbol.
He served her a beer very chilled.
Fortunately, it was to the brim filled.
    Unfortunately, the whole thing spilled.

These were the first blog posts I began following. Now I'm following so many... When I saw it today I was reminded of the old days (all of three months ago) and I wanted to say that it was nice to read the latest "Verse and Worse." I have always appreciated these quirky quickies.
