It Hasn't Used Much Fuel, Either
A Mini which has been driven only 148 miles in 20 years is worth more than it cost in 1989. Its owner paid £5,800 in 1989 for the cherry-red Mini 30, but all its parts are original, the paintwork is perfect and even the oil has never been changed. It is now valued at between £6,500 and £7,000.
FOOTNOTE: More than the sum of its parts.
You expect antiques to be worth more than they were originally but the mini is not an antique not being over 100 years old. Incredible.
