I once was a bit lucky, to have a roommate ducky. We had to sign a lease, with a family of Canadian geese. Hi David. Good to hear from you again. Johnnny!
Hi David! These past several months I have been writing but not really visiting anyone due to time. I happened to stumble across someone last night that said you are back in blogland. I don't know when you started blogging again so this may be really late for me to say so but...welcome back! It's good to see you. I like your verse. It made me smile and brought to mind those black birds and their rhyme song from the Disney movie cartoon Dumbo.

ReplyDeleteHi there, Johnny,
ReplyDeleteGreat to hear from you - and I really enjoy it when friends leave comments in verse on these posts!
Your rhymes are still so very fine, David!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Willow - a bit rusty at the moment, but letting the words flow over my brain!
ReplyDeleteROFL...No...but I'd sure like to see both!!! Such fun, David!!! I'm chuckling and waking the entire household here ;-)) Warmly,as always, Janine
ReplyDeleteI can't find the time
ReplyDeleteTo think of a rhyme
And I don't think I should
When yours are so good!
Thanks, Janine
ReplyDeleteThis could be the start of an international hunt! Glad it brought a smile to your face .....
Thank you, Ayak,
ReplyDeleteIt's great when friends reply/ comment in verse!
Who'd have thunk
ReplyDeletethat I am in the rank
of ptarmigans
same small brain
no alarm, again!
P.S.:
ReplyDeleteNot that my bird brain
is as verse-a-tile as I'd like,
but I'd do anything
for a study break! ;-)
My kids used to think all mothers must have x-ray vision! Ha.
ReplyDeleteHi Merisi,
ReplyDeleteWho'd have thunk
A bird could dunk!
Merisi - that word `verse-a-tile" is so brilliant that Ogden Nash would have been proud of you!
ReplyDeleteHi Techno Babe
ReplyDeleteMy kids still think that!
I did hear that plovers
ReplyDeleteMake terrible lovers
And apparently pheasant
Are exceedingly pleasant
No, but I have seen a sparrow
ReplyDeletepecking on a marrow.
And a thrush
Nesting in a bush.....
I will spare you more!
Maggie X
Nuts in May
You haven't lost your touch in the rhyme department I see. :)

Have a blessed and wonderful day today.
I have never seen a ptarmigan
ReplyDeletethat could set his alarm again,
but I did see a near sided pigeon
that had an awful sad collision!
Not even going to try, I would die of embarrassment failing to compete with the competent
ReplyDeleteWell all the birds that flighted
ReplyDeletethat I know are all short sighted
So they are not exactly ravers
Because the've visited Spec savers!
LOL - Love these ~ Eddie
Great to see you here, Mr London Street
ReplyDeleteAnd what a great rhyme, too. Bravo!
