Verse and worse

Lord Balfour was ill (so terribly stricken)
When he ate his enemy's poisoned chicken
His lips turned blue, his hips wouldn't move
But a drink of fine port gave him back his groove

  1. Using his silver knife and fork,
Fourball ate some too rare pork,
    His innards did eventually squirm,
Lordy was home of a new tapeworm.

  4. Epi! How great to see your comment. Thank you so much for dropping by.

After more than a year away, I re-launched my blog - quietly - about three weeks ago.

  5. When I check in to read your ditty
Each day when I wake, you are so witty.
Its good to laugh at the start of the day
And thats what you do to Maggie May!

Today I thought it was really funny
Then I read the one from the friend called Johnny.
You cracked me up and Johnny too
(And I haven't had time yet to visit the loo!)

((Not a very good thing to do!.))
    Thanks for the laugh!

  7. Like Maggie your blog is my first call
And with laughter I do bawl
I love your Verse and Worse
And to add a little verse.

    Lord Balfour's Declaration
    Addressed to every Nation
    He made nineteen seventeen
    Causing problems, well, 'umpteen'
    To give Israel the land
    Against Arab demand
His wife said, "Wer've ya been?
For years you I haven't seen!"
He said, "I have been stricken
By a germ within a chicken!
They don't like what I've done
So back home I'm gonna run!"

    . . . . well it passes the time, doesn't it? LOL.
    Have a good day!
Must go and read Johnny's now.

  8. This Johnny guy is a wonder
Makes me seem like a dunder
He writes out ditties with ease
No more tapeworms if you please

  9. It is always so fun to see David's latest Verse n Worse. I probably only respond to half of them. It is also fun to read the comments that follow the post. There is something about David's free-thinking creative humor that just gets me going. No more tapeworms.
