I’d just recharged the batteries on my camera a few weeks ago when I shot this frame, while my son – barely in his teens – was playing his guitar. I was rather pleased with the shot of the tuning keys (also referred to as machine heads) . I showed him the result on the display screen of my digital camera. ``Hang on, Dad,’’ he said, ``just give me the camera for a minute, because I think this angle’s even better.’’ Continuing to hold the electric guitar in his left hand, he took the shot with his right hand. You know what? His effort was much better than mine – and I’m proud to admit it.

Reminds me of a 'pantera' film clip, thereas a camera on the guitar and you get all these great shots the thr strings whipping about. Cant remember the track name.
ReplyDeleteHi Pope Terry,
ReplyDeleteNow you've got me wondering as well!

Hi FHB,
ReplyDeleteThank you. Matt will be delighted to hear that. He has the knack of finding an extra special angle with the camera!
Hope you had a safe trip back after what sounded like a great holiday.

He is good. Competition, Dad...!
ReplyDeleteHi Les,
ReplyDeleteHe is very good. At more things than I am good at!
And competition for the old man is always good!

Wow! I love the persepctive on his shot! Looks like the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. =)
ReplyDeleteHi Dawn,
ReplyDeleteThank you for those kind words. He and his sisters are great kids and I honestly get a lump in my throat when I think of how blessed I am to be their father.

Your pictures (and now your son's) are a treat for the eyes. Blessings to you and yours.
ReplyDeleteSo what was he playing?
ReplyDeleteI like his angle, but I like the crisper focus on yours.
ReplyDeleteAfter he took a spin with your camera, did you play a number on his guitar?
ReplyDeleteThank you, Craver,
ReplyDeleteMy entire family has been blessed in many special ways.

G'day Brian,
ReplyDeleteHe was playing Hilsong United, which is gospel rock. He was playing on a Fender Squire Strat California series, but he also plays a mean Fender Squire MD4 bass!

Hi Spinning Girl,
ReplyDeleteI agree - his angle left me for dead!

Nice question, Debbie,
ReplyDeleteI do not have a musical bone in my body. Serious - I can sing a few notes, but that's where it ends!
