Do You Have Star Quality?
Do you quickly flip through the horoscopes when no one else is watching you? Do they rule your life? I'd be grateful if you could take a second to respond to the poll on the right.
Update: It's been an interesting poll so far. After almost 24 hours, there have been 26 votes on the subject. "Always" got 3%, "Sometimes" got 57%, "Never" got 34% and "Only when no one else is looking" got 3%.
Ha Ha! According to the results, there is no "in-between" to speak of.
ReplyDeleteHa Ha... I do only when there's absolutely nothing else to do.
ReplyDeleteNo sir, never did...I believe we make our own daily happenings! There may be a little luck, a little fate, a little divine intervention, but for the most part we make it or break it!
ReplyDeleteI voted. I am one of the defintiely nevers.
ReplyDeleteI read the comics and then horoscope. They are really funny. Today's thing said - "You may have to travel soon, make sure you carry all your stuff" oh really! thanks :)
ReplyDeleteNever... I'm with Mushy, we make our own days.
ReplyDeleteIf I ever did read a horoscope, it would most likely be from the previous days predictions---you know, see what I might have missed, for future reference!
ReplyDeleteAnd, yes, I read the comics! Strictly for the educational content, of course...!
No I never do. I might look at the one that comes in a Chinese cookie but it is generally to have a joke about it.
ReplyDeleteSometimes...but I dun dwell on em :)
ReplyDeleteAnd TNXX for ur comment in my blog, Dave ur a wonderful friend!
Keshi.
I once got a fortune cookie that said "You have an equipment for success."
ReplyDeletei do read horoscopes sometimes, but forget'em as soon as i put the paper aside.
ReplyDeletebtw here frm cuckoo's blog
I used to at uni on wednesdays, the local rag the advertiser were nice enough to give us free copies on wednesday, so by the time i'd stared at the cross word and the comics for an hour, I'd always give the scopes a glance, just to see how wrong they were. Plus the ones in the Good weekend magazine, are always a little humorous.
ReplyDeleteHi Les,
ReplyDeleteYou've just reminded me of a great horoscope story. Shall I tell? Shain't I? I think I shall tell ....

ReplyDeleteYep, get in line with Mushy, Debbie and me, mate. Hope no one turns us into a pillar of salt for being non-believers.

Aye, Bruno,
ReplyDeleteLet's get our priorities right. Comics before all else. Man, that's the most important page in any newspaper!

David
G'day Vic,
ReplyDeleteYes, fortune cookies are pretty big here. But like you, we crack 'em open just so we don't end up chewing on paper!

David
Hi Keshi,
ReplyDeleteThat's the trick. Read 'em but don't swell on 'em. I think most people are far too rational to get obsessed about horoscopes. But I do have a funny story to tell. Watch this space ...
I'm always there for friends

David
G'day Diesel,
ReplyDeleteQuick, if you still have it, can you put it in the mail for me?
I'm sure you've got it framed alongside your Andy Warhol prints!

Hi Maverick,
ReplyDeleteThanks for taking the trouble to vsiit and to leave a comment.
That's the way to deal with horoscopes, although I have a healthy respect for those who believe fervently in them.

G'day Your Eminence,
ReplyDeleteBut now that you are the Pontiff of Bendigo, you have outlawed all horoscope-related material ....
Right?!!!!!!!
Keep smiling
David
oh of course, theres only one place I would recommend people turn for spiritual guidance, but the 'Catch-up' got cancelled didnt it.
ReplyDeleteThe future is but a gust of wind slowly drifting by...
No chance. Reading them just pisses me off.. Siddharth Khandelwal
ReplyDeleteAh, Your Eminence,

Excellently put, your holiness ....

sometimes...but I do forget them as soon as I close the paper.
ReplyDeleteHi Kalyan,
ReplyDeleteAnd that's a good thing, I reckon ....

David
oh yes, forgetting it is a good thing once you are done reading it up!! if you knew everything thanks to the stars, then where would be the surprise element which makes so many things special??
ReplyDeleteThough, I find it kinds funny!! But frankly, I friend of mine is mroe inclined on figuring out someone's traits on the basis of their star sign or vice-versa... so much so, she insists I'm less of a libran, more of a scorp... in reality am a scorp cusp of Libra!!
there goes the star signs for you... all for a toss!! :)
