Crack Troops

It's Omelette, Prince Of Denmark

Photograph copyright: DAVID McMAHON

I've photographed a few hard-boiled characters in my time, but this shot was just taken on a whim. I had just opened this egg carton when I noticed the light through the window was just perfect across the shells and the biodegradable carton. Naturally, I got the camera out immediately. Everyone else was just, er, shell-shocked.

  4. Hope Dilly doesn't see this. Eggs get her broody. She wants to incubate them all.

Seriously, though, the photo is egg-cellent as usual!

Turn Dilly's chair away. I'll remove the post.

Yes - I've cracked! My brains have been scrambled!

Glad you liked the picture. The carton would have brought back many memories of Safeway and Coles for you ...

to me, those eggs looked like a chubby bald cartoon character putting his fat fingers inside the carton.

I like your description. Yes, omelettes are my favourite as well.

Nice rhyme, too. I'd never heard that one before.

Next time I'm in Bangalore, we'll have to test the cuisine at Coffee House ...
