H€adlines & D€adlines

Hi-Ho, Selva, Away

Pointing out stories you may have missed: An opposition Italian senator has offered to resign after a scandal erupted over his fraudulent use of an ambulance. Gustavo Selva was widely criticised for using an ambulance to rush to a TV interview. He used the emergency vehicle to speed through Rome's streets, which were blocked with traffic during the visit by US President George W. Bush. Selva reportedly feigned an illness, asking the medical personnel to take him to his heart specialist, but instead gave the address of the television studio.

  6. Hi FHB,

Never been to Italy, but I would love to. Maybe I'll set my next novel in Rome ...

You pick an Italian city and I'll visit it to research the background for the novel!

    Cheers

  7. I wonder if they have a congetstion charge in Rome? I could easily find out but . . . meh.

Don't blame the guy, some call it a miss use of power . . . I call it initiative. I can imagine the A-Team pulling a similar stunt. In fact I'm sure it was Murdock who did it.

  8. Hi Ak-Man,

Definitely. It's got `A-Team' written all over it. Mr T commandeered the ambulance, Face drove it, Murdoch masqueraded as the heart specialist!

    Cheers
