Weekend Wandering

Please answer today's question on your own blog, any time until next weekend. Just link to this blog (or to this post) so I can follow the progress of the discussion.

And the question is: When did you last write or receive a real snail-mail letter (you know, in an addressed envelope)?

  1. Hi,

I received an actual snail mail letter just last week, from one of the first blogging friends I ever met. She sent me a handpaintd card featuring Chinese lanterns, which she knew I liked.

By the way, I am delighted to have your offer of instruction in how to link to a post. My email address is: scottishlassnd@yahoo.com. Thank you.

  8. Bills don't count, I suppose?
I do receive handwritten letters because I write them too. Some time ago I found a handwritten envelope which contained a small water color of the artist's cat I had admired on his blog. That was a real surprise. I love snail mail! :-)

I love sending snail mail as i get a buzz out of decorating the envelope!
    Strange but true! LOL

  11. As difficult as it is to imagine, I have relatives who do not have access to the internet. I know, unbelievable!

I'll post on this later this week. Hopefully doing better than I did with the last question!

  15. Not in too damn long, that's how long!!! ,-)

I love snail mail. I get started, and fall off. I am a klutz. Let's see, any more confessions, while I'm at it? ,-)

Ohhh, I will try to do a link thing to this entry, in my own regular blog, when I put this question in. But since I'm not awfully techy, I don't guarantee it will work.

  18. The only time I ever get snail mail is twice per year: on my birthday and Christmas. Apart from that, it's only the "official" mail - bills, bills, bills, and the occasional bill.

Of course, it's also my fault as I never write to anyone, but this is just as interesting as last week's question - shows how much we rely on technology these days. :)

    Cheers,

  20. Found you through Nanci-Mari. My post went up this morning and I linked to both of you.

I thought this was interesting. The whole question of how technology has changed things during my lifetime interests me.
