A Chinese pensioner has been awarded an official government licence to build submarines. The 68-year-old is permitted to make recreational submarines, yachts, ferries and fishing boats. New reports note that his first four submarines were not fully seaworthy.

ReplyDeleteHow is a submarine not "fully" seaworthy? Seems to me it either is or it isn't... and if it isn't it's going to be a permanent submarine.

ReplyDeleteChinese pensioner did you say ? Not sure if the government is funding his project or it is his own money. Hopefully the first 4 submarines were allowed to sink without recreation..
