Quadratic equations can cause brain abrasions
On birthdays, Christmas and special occasions
Make sure they add up and confirm each figure
To ensure your answer isn’t smaller or bigger

but if she's over forty...smaller works! LOL! Love this one...may have to put it up on my refrigerator with attribution to you, of course!!! ~Janine
ReplyDeleteWell, I won't mention how much over forty, but smaller definitely works!
ReplyDeleteJust the idea of quadratic equations (whatever they are) make my brain hurt...
ReplyDeleteBut if your numbers are wrong
ReplyDeleteSing yourself a happy song
The world is so much more than math
And the sober math teacher's wrath.
Sing and laugh and dance a pattern
With the sweetest girl or sauciest slattern.
Sing and dance and give out a laugh.
Let others tend to the pie chart and graph.
You do know that when the equation's a figure, it's going to be smaller in the mind of a woman...unless she's shopping...in which case she just gives herself a raise in pay!

I think I already have brain abrasions...equations = evil...
ReplyDeleteOh this was fun to read, and the comments were just as good.
ReplyDeleteThanks for dropping in ... to check me out.
Years ago,
ReplyDeletequadratic equations were my forte, and a few months ago
I helped my grandson with parabolic equations,
but now I stick to hyperbole.
They cause abrasions all year around.Equations are injurious to your health.
ReplyDeleteaaaaargh, this sounds like numbers are involved.....
ReplyDeleteIt's too late for Mathematics - I'm going to have a 'Pi' to eat. Just the 'trig'
ReplyDeleteAlmost missed this one! I am now addicted to your blog because I like to challenge myself to see if I can come up with a witicism or rhyme. Unfortunately, can't think of anything right now. But thought I'd let you know...
