Verse And Worse

Random Wit, Errant Rhyme. Not A Literary Crime

Just resist the temptation to rest on your laurels
While your heart and your cranium indulge in some quarrels
Work hard at med school and you’ll soon be a surgeon
You’ll have your own Bentley, without too much splurgin'

  3. I am told that fish is good for the brain
It's potassium makes me able to learn again
The fish to eat I am told is a sturgeon
To make me clever to be a brain surgeon
All through my life I've not known what to do
But at now at retirement I now have a clue
I'll study for hours beween all my blogging
Learning facts and techniques which are all mind clogging
I'll get out the scalpel and make lots of cuts
On the op table I'll take a look at people's guts
I'll chop off a leg or make a start
to give them a bi-pass or a new heart
And then when I'm ready I'll look at a brain
And make it all better for the patient again
I must take care when amputating a leg
I cut off the right one and fit the right peg
I'll have them in stiches - each fellow and lass
They won't want anasthetic or either or chora or gas.
I'd tell them I have some good news and bad
First the good news, followed by words which are sad
I'd tell them I've chopped off their right hand
When it should be the left and hope they'd understand!!

  4. I was going to write a tiny verse
When Eddie Bluelights comes up like a curse!
By the time I read through it all......
My verse had gone. I can't recall.....

I will have to start eating that old sturgeon
If I decide on the course to be a brain surgeon!
