Verse And Worse

Random Wit, Errant Rhyme. Not A Literary Crime

Did I cause you any bother
When I dressed as Hiawatha?
I should have warned the clan and brethren
When I donned war paint with featherin'

  1. Just have to tell you brother
Before you're told this by another
That when wearing feathers + paint
    I might think you're what you ain't

  2. You're a poet
    And don't know it.
    But your feet show it.
    They're long fellows.

My mother used to say that. Your verse reminded me.

  4. Dressing up with a feather
Can take my mind off awful weather.
But you are risking all you got
'Cos cowboys will come & take a shot.

  5. Loved this, David! I've been playing a lot of scrabble lately with Sandi and noted that we both know a lot of old english words. The language you use in this particular verse has a wonderful feel to it. :-)

    Cheers!
