Going Out In Style (Literally)
An Italian firm of undertakers has unveiled its 2008 calendar - featuring glamour models draped over its range of coffins. The calendar shows women in sexy underwear posing with coffins which can be ordered from the Cofanifunebri undertakers in Rome. Owner Maurizio Matteucci said: "It is good marketing but it is also but also a way to play down such a serious subject and to smile. Coffins are consumer goods like any other things.’’

Coffin And Splutterin’ All The Way Home
A Romanian builder who injured his back in Macedonia travelled hundreds of kilometres home ‑ in a coffin. Mitev Jordanov was admitted to hospital before doctors told him he could go home, only if was transported lying absolutely flat on his back. Local ambulances could not help, since they only carry people whose lives are in serious danger. So the builder’s boss borrowed a hearse from an undertaker, put him in the coffin and drove him back to Romania.
