In the last fortnight of winter, gardens around the city are a riot of purple and orange, thanks to the hardy gazanias, which I think are also called "treasure flowers". This is an interesting shot, because you'll actually see a sheen on some of the petals on the right, almost giving them a plastic-like quality.
