More Sky-Fi Than Sci-Fi

No Need For Cloud Seeding Just Yet

Photographs copyright: DAVID McMAHON

These photographs were taken about eleven hours apart in time, and about 35 kilometres apart in distance. The first one was taken at dusk on Wednesday night in Melbourne’s south-east and the second was at dawn on Thursday morning, in the central business district. Yesterday we had some long-overdue rain, even as the city’s water catchments fell below 30 per cent for the first time. But the good thing about lots of scattered cloud is that you invariably get a great range of colours to shoot.
