Not When Your Neighbour Steals The Place
A Russian man returned from holiday to find his entire two-storey house had been stolen by a neighbour who took it apart brick by brick and sold all the contents. Only the foundations were left. Police investigating the theft found out that a neighbour had sold the bricks and window frames, and even the kitchen sink.

I think the rest of us can stop complaining about our own neighbors now. Sheesh! That is horrible!
I agree with the previous poster...this neighbor definitely wins the Worst Neighbor of the Year award.
Now, the real question is...How much did he get for the whole house, once he sold it all? Was it WORTH it? Not exactly a sneaky crime. And, how long was that guy's vacation???
That is "morterfying"...only in Russia. ;)
Yes, I agree with Kathryn, wouldn't want to live next door to that lot!!

Hmmm. Maybe I should get a housesitter when I am away.
When we were in Russia ten years ago, we occasionally found people selling some of the most unlikely things by the side of the road or on the railway platform. We could have bought a chandelier at one train stop. Don't know what we would have done with it--try explaining that to customs, or packing in in an already stuffed suitcase. The explanation of that one was that workers in the glass factory were paid a portion of their wagtes in currency and the rest in goods. There's only so many chandeliers you can hang in your dascha, so hopefully some better heeled traveler is looking for something on that order.
this neighbour must be he neighbour from hell... this is terrible
Calling this man a THIEF would, indeed, be an understatement! But one thing he is NOT, and that is LAZY!
As a matter of fact, he'd probably make a good supervisor for someone, after he gets out of jail.....!
Unbelievable. How much work he did for probably not much money. Think if he'd worked that hard at a job.
That makes me worry about my next hols - that's not true - I have wonderful neighbours, just goes to show how lucky I am!
