For An Opera Singer, That’s The Pits
A Hungarian singer ended up in the orchestra pit after the horse he was sitting on bolted mid-performance. Zoltan Bereczky's mount took off when he broke into song at a musical adaptation of Geza Gardonyi's The Stars of Eger at the national theatre in Szeged, Hungary. The orchestra managed to keep on playing and Bereczky was treated for a sprained shoulder.
FOOTNOTE: Bridle waltz.

Was the singing that bad?
This was an error in judgment. The stage crew should have chosen a nag for Zoltan to ride instead of a war horse, then rather than bolting when offended by the singing, it would have just stood around and complained.
Usually singers have a problem with being hoarse..
Part opera, part action thriller!!
Maybe the guy hit a sour note, and the horse just couldn't stand it.
I'd like to see a video of that performance.
Hey, the horse was probably thinking that the opera singer needed to be introduced to a diet...we all know it isn't over till the fat lady sings...the horse couldn't wait that long (or carry the weight that long)

Whoa neddy!
In one of the operas my daughter was in, they had a live horse pulling a carriage. During one of the rehearsals, I could hear alot of laughter offstage---the horse had 'done it's business'.
That was the big fear at the time...that the horse would choose the 'wrong time' (while on stage) to do its biz...
Luckily, it never happened, he behaved himself!
