Little purple vegetable,
Sitting on the table
Given to me yesterday,
By grouchy, old Aunt Mable.
I could sprinkle you in Parmesan,
Or I could fry you in a pan.
I could save myself some trouble,
And toss you in the rubbish can.
Eggplant is called Aubergine
In England's "sunny" clime....
It's from across the Continent
And can be drunk with wine ....
You have to fry it in a pan,
To make a ratatouille
Or else if cooking's by a man...(!)
Chuck in a bland Chop Suey!
And can be fried in wine.....
Blimey I'm drunk already by the sound of it!
