Random Wit, Errant Rhyme. Not A Literary Crime
My old aunt loved Rembrandt
She revelled in his painting
We all did chant 'No, you can't'
When she spoke of fainting
She revelled in his painting
We all did chant 'No, you can't'
When she spoke of fainting

:)the first thing that brought a smile on my face today..thanks
This old aunt
Who liked to chant
Was she the same hon.....
The Aubergine one?
I like to look at some one's paint.
But there's really no reason to faint!
She ought to pull herself together
Mop her brow with a piece of leather!
If your Aunt tends to faint,
Over splashed paint,
She may run away from home
After reading your poem,
Or report your rhyme,
As an assault crime!
(And perhaps mine, too!)
My aunt plants spider plants
When the moon is waning
But now she pants and power rants
Because it's always raining
The Mighty Sam
My great old aunt, prefers not, the work of a surrealist.
She simply states "Most certainly, I prefer forrealist"
She tried to skitter past the art with appreciation feigning.
But Dali, reaching out, pulled her inside the painting.
We've not seen nor spoke of her, ever since, yet sometimes walking past.
Inside the painting we often hear, "Quit pulling my mustache!"
I'm going to change your last line, because this appealed to me more, hope you don't mind!

We all did chant 'No, you can't'
When she spoke of painting the ceiling!
