It’s No Joke

Just Cut Out The Funny Business

Police have issued a Welsh shopkeeper with a warning – because of his jokes. Bob Singh was told there had been a complaint about the gags he prints on leaflets advertising his corner shop's Christmas offers. He has been warned he could face prosecution for a public order offence.

FOOTNOTE: Gag order.

The jokes were juvenile and innocuous, the mind truly does boggle [love that word] There was ONE complaint, count 'em. And the cops went around and threatened him with arrest if he did it again.
Whoever said we live in a free society I laugh in his face.

Veri. word is bacci: I don't mind if I do.

Argh. Tolerance only exists in dedicated houses, or so it seems at time.

Jeez, sounds like his village sorely needs someone to spread a little humour there. Poor lad.

Jeez. First the bagpiper and now the joker?

And they say Germans have no sense of humor!

Unless there was something offensive in the jokes themselves, I can't imagine them being any more annoying -- or more of a threat to public order -- than the typical TV ad.
